About Us

The Fleet Hotel is a wonderful boutique style Hotel located in the centre of Dublin on the edge of Temple Bar. It comprises of some beautiful period buildings including the iconic Bewleys Cafe, much loved by Dubliner's for decades. The Fleet Hotel is synonymous with local Dublin history, before becoming the Fleet Hotel, 19/20 Fleet Street was home to Bewley's Cafe which was established by Ernest Bewley in 1905. Bewleys were known to be one of the finest Tea Houses in Europe and a favourite with Dubliner's for generations.

 

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION

 

Reporting to the Night Manager, the Night Auditor will assist the Nights team in meeting the variety of guest requests that may arise, helping to create a pleasant and memorable stay for our guests.

 

Reports to: Operations Manager, Night Manager, Duty Managers.

 

Responsible for: Night Porters.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1.     To assist Night Manager with operations of the Nights team.

2.     To ensure operations are carried out in line with department and hotel standards while providing quality service to our guests in accordance with statutory and health and safety requirements to all colleagues and guests during the evening hours.

3.     To ensure all guests receive a genuine, warm, friendly, courteous welcome on arrival and during their stay.

4.     To anticipate guests needs whenever possible to enhance quality service and in turn enhance guest satisfaction.

5.     To carry out departmental standards in accordance with the SOP Manual.

6.     To ensure that the highest possible standard of personal hygiene, dress, appearance, body language and conduct is maintained at all times.

7.     To ensure all accident & incidents are reported to the relevant people and to assist in providing all relevant backup.

8.     To be familiar with and adhere to all rules and regulations of the hotel with specific regard to: Fire procedures, Health and Safety at work, Security regulations.

9.     To carry out the Night Audit.

10.  To assist in positively promoting sales within the department and maximize every sales opportunity.

11.  To oversee and to clean and maintain all public areas, public toilets, bars areas and any ad hoc cleaning for the next business day.

12.  To ensure the security of cash, stock and equipment and to carry out all agreed departmental/Hotel procedures.

13.  Responsible for overall health & safety at night including fire walks, security checks, and any other relevant health & safety duties e.g. first aid

14.  Front Office duties including running the night audit report and check-in and check-out of guests.

15.  Managing the team of Night Porters and their nightly tasks.

16.  Food & Beverage service at night.

17.  To handle guest queries and complaints as they arise.

18.  To complete early and late handovers with Duty Managers when on shift.

19.  To carry out any ad hoc duties as directed by the Night Manager, Operations Manager.

Requirements

 

   The ideal candidate will possess at least 1 years' experience as Night Auditor/Night Porter in a 4* hotel setting
