KPMG 's in house legal team is a team of dedicated & experienced commercial, data protection & regulatory solicitors & legal specialists.

Combining lawyers experienced in contentious and non-contentious fields, we offer a complete legal service across the broad spectrum of legal & regulatory matters which arise within KPMG, predominantly in the areas of Commercial Contracts, Data Protection Privacy & AI & Regulatory advice. Our clients are market leading domestic and international companies.

KPMGs in house legal team provides market focused commercial legal support, offering pragmatic and business-oriented solutions.

A snapshot of your peer group:
Qualified Solicitor, from 3-5 years PQEIdeally with previous in-house legal experience, and at least from a large, medium or boutique corporate law firm, in Ireland or the United KingdomBackground in financial services regulationExcellent stakeholder management/business partnering skills.Knowledge/experience of financial services regulatory landscape Proven ability to communicate technical advice in a clear and concise manner to a legal and non-legal audience, both orally and in writingAbility to excel & enjoy collaborative environments you have a proven track record of independently driving projects to completion. The ideal applicant should possess the ability to effectively collaborate with team members while also being capable of taking the lead on initiatives, demonstrating resourcefulness and the capacity to work autonomously when needed.
Your responsibilities and achievements will evolve as you enhance your career with us. Here is what you can initially expect:
Driving legal risk management of regulatory change and implementation in all matters affecting KPMG, such as AML, Company law & general EU Financial Services focused regulation. Proactively identify and contribute to the management of regulatory risk.Identify and analyse regulatory changes and advise internal stakeholders on the effective implementation of those requirements.Support and advise business and teams on applicable regulatory requirements including on the regulatory aspects of new service lines or KPMGI network initiatives. Provide regulatory advice to internal client support teams including HR, Finance & Risk. Contribute to stakeholder management of KPMG relationships with key regulators including preparation/coordination of responses to requests for information and participation working group calls. Participate in internal Working Groups on regulatory topics and KPMGI initiatives.Lead the development of internal policies and procedures to ensure KPMG continues to meet its regulatory obligations.Help to deliver team and departmental objectives, participating in the development of processes, policies and procedures and preparing and delivering training and presentations.Supporting and contributing to the commercial contracting team on larger commercial reviews.
