Quality and stability are key to best in class customer experience, so the Toast Foundations Product Team is looking for an experienced Technical Product Manager to lead out our Quality enablement and SRE domains to help deliver the highest quality standards and exceptional resilience for the Toast SaaS product suite.

In the Quality enablement domain, you will deliver best in class platform tooling and experiences across the test pyramid in order to drive measurable impact to key metrics including, escaped defects, change failure rate and #customer impacts. 

In the SRE domain, you will help drive the strategy and outcomes to ensure our applications are resilient and can proactively detect and remediate any issues. However, should any issues occur with our 3rd party or inhouse infrastructure and services, you’ll ensure that the teams have the right platforms and systems in order to recover in the shortest amount of time possible. 

This is a unique opportunity to drive both the quality and resilience platforms and systems and see those two areas drive a virtuous cycle of improvement in key quality and stability metrics.

About this roll* (Responsibilities) 

Develop the long term strategy for quality enablement across the company Identify opportunities to improve key outcomes including reducing the number of escaped defects, reducing change failure rate and the number of customer impacts. Provide Test development frameworks and reference implementations for test development across Toast Ensure product development teams have the right feedback loops on quality and resilience Create the long term strategy for SRE tools and practices to help drive resilience and improve MTTD and MTTR metrics. Work with our customer experience and support teams to help identify areas of opportunities to improve quality.

Experience driving company wide change and delivering value to the business with platform focused products Outcome focused Product management experience with skills in user research, industry research and product frameworks Knowledge and experience of platforms, tools and best practices across the Test pyramid Knowledge and experience with SRE tools and processes Ability to measure and drive key performance metrics in quality and resilience Excellent stakeholder and internal customer management skills Technical background and experience is a must for this role BSc in Computer Science, CompEng or equivalent technical field
