About the Role:
Our teams work to provide insightful financial information to inform decision making across AIB, meet our regulatory commitments, manage AIB’s capital, liquidity and cost effectively and protect the assets of our business for the long term. By doing that we work to contribute to an exceptional customer experience.
As future focussed business partners our objective is to support the business in the development and delivery of AIB’s strategic and financial objectives. Critical to our success is an ability to understand the business and to apply a mix of analytical, commercial and communication skills to deliver information and insights to key stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Production of accurate and timely monthly financial performance reports providing relevant insights on performance and outlook to inform decision making
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders across finance and the business to understand the key drivers of financial performance and variances to Plan / Forecast
- Support the development of business units 3-year financial plan
- Provide timely and accurate financial forecasts supportive of corrective action where necessary
- Complete ad hoc financial analysis for the business including external environment, balance sheet impacts, income/margins and costs.
- Support further development of financial management Information including the bank’s planning system, financial management reporting tool, RAROC, ROTE, Customer Profitability analysis and monthly segment & business unit performance reports.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with the business, across finance and other support areas, characterised by high levels of co-operation
What you will bring:
- Qualified Accountant or appropriate financial qualification or established experience in a financial role
- Understanding of AIB’s business model, strategy and products suite
- Ability to analyse and interpret data, to assess its value and to present the findings to the relevant stakeholders in a clear and concise way
- Ability to work effectively and influence across a range of organisational structures, with the ability to manage competing priorities and to deliver against tight deadlines.
- Strong core business skills including stakeholder management and presentation skills
