Mechanical Chargehand

Purpose of Role:

Exciting opportunity available for a Mechanical Construction Chargehand to join our team. You will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating activities of site teams on a designated project. This role involves ensuring that all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

        Provide guidance, direction and support to all tradesperson on site.

        Assign tasks to team members, ensuring work assigned is to project specification and completed in a timely manner.

        Monitor quality of the work performed by the team, conducting inspections and providing feedback to the site Foreman ensuring compliance at all times.

        Ensure Environmental, Health & Safety protocols are adhered to at all times promoting a safe working environment and work practices at all times.

        Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective action when required.

Role Requirements:

        Must have a strong plumbing or pipefitting trade background.

        Previous experience working on large and industrial projects.

        Excellent organisation and communication

        4 years' experience post apprenticeship

        Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

        Good attention to detail
