We are looking for an ambitious Sports & Event co-ordinator join our 5-star team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who would like to excel in Sales and events within the tourism sector with a five-star background. The successful candidate will be also involved with the other Sales &Marketing disciplines within the Resort.


This role is a Sales and Events co-ordinator position which would be suitable for those with a strong sport interest. There may be a possibility of travel.

Responsibilities.


Sports:

- Generating leads and key account management of sports contacts across a number of sporting codes (rugby, soccer, GAA etc)

-Complete all administration for teams including co-ordination of team pricing strategy, ensuring all quotes and contracts are accurate and timely, invoice chasing and tracking payments of same

- Oversee each client experience from start to post event stage

- Liaising with nutritionists and team management to finalise menus

- Managing and co-ordinating arrangements for the teams while on-site as well as being their point of contact for the duration of their stay


Events:

-Ensure phones are being answered in the Events office and that there is always adequate cover to do this. If at times this is not possible, ensure that phones are forwarded to a department that can provide the cover.

-Conduct client site inspections

-Foster the relationship with the Operations Team, ensuring that all information regarding a team or event is communicated correctly on a BEO/ Function sheet and at BEO meetings

-Utilize Opera to its full capacity ensuring that bookings and activities are inputted correctly and that all follow up on enquires and existing bookings is completed in a timely manner


Requirements:

- Third level Education or equivalent in Sales & Marketing or Sports desirable

- Experience preferred

- Sports background is an advantage

- Excellent Communication skills and Presentation Skills

- Strong Administration Skills, Intermediate Computer Skills and strong Social Media knowledge

- Self-starter, target driven, and strong interpersonal skills required

- Fluent English

- Full Clean Drivers Licence
