We are hiring a Kitchen Assistant for a leading nursing home in  Kildare, Ireland.

    Key Responsibilities
  • Take full ownership of your designated work area, ensuring it’s maintained and managed efficiently every day.
  • Empty all bins and dispose of waste properly, ensuring compliance with waste disposal protocols.
  • Follow the cleaning schedule and perform tasks as directed by the Head Chef to maintain cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Maintain accurate records in line with the Food Hygiene Policy, documenting necessary checks and procedures.
  • Unpack and store deliveries appropriately, ensuring products are placed in the correct storage areas.
  • Adhere to food hygiene and HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) standards at all times to ensure food safety.
  • Keep the food serving area and dining room clean, safe, and hygienic.
  • Clean and maintain KP (Kitchen Porter) machines, change water as needed, and ensure equipment is in good working condition daily.
  • Be reliable, hardworking, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment as part of a friendly and effective team.
  • Perform any other tasks as requested by management to support kitchen operations.
