Responsibilities

Produce technical safety/process engineering deliverables as required to support business objectives; Develop safety engineering philosophies, design HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) plans, safety specifications; Arrange and participate in formal process safety assessments, including  HAZID  (Hazard Identification),  HAZOP  (Hazard and Operability Study), and  SIL  (Safety Integrity Level) target setting studies. Generate study reports; Provide input to project design assurance reviews (e.g., P&ID reviews); Perform hazardous area classification following industry codes and guidance (such as  BS 60079  and  EI15 ); Produce and review study reports, and design calculations, ensuring compliance with engineering quality standards; Provide technical support to projects; Stay informed about relevant regulatory frameworks, legislative changes, initiatives, and industry technology developments.

Here's What You'll Need:

Awareness of process operations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of  COMAH ,  DSEAR ,  ATEX , and other health and safety legislations applicable to the role. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong multitasking abilities and self-driven work ethic. Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Ideally, you will also have:

Awareness of international codes and standards. IChemE or equivalent HAZOP Chair certificate IChemE or equivalent LOPA Chair certificate
