Commercial Manager

Location: Dublin, Ireland (with travel to Milan, Italy)
Salary: Up to 125,000 per annum

Role Summary 

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Manager to oversee cost management and commercial processes for high-profile hyperscale data center projects. Acting as the "eyes and ears" on the ground, you will ensure effective financial and operational oversight while coordinating with the Dublin-based contact. The role involves a hybrid working pattern, including a few days on-site in Dublin, and travel to Milan (every few weeks for a couple of days).

Key Responsibilities

  • Commercial Oversight & Reporting:

    • Manage project budgets, cost control, and financial reporting.
    • Oversee the implementation of commercial processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  • Stakeholder Management:

    • Act as the primary link between Dublin-based stakeholders and the Milan project teams.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • Site Visits & Monitoring:

    • Conduct regular site visits in Milan to monitor progress and resolve commercial issues.
    • Collaborate on-site with project teams to provide hands-on support and oversight.
  • Risk & Contract Management:

    • Mitigate risks by maintaining rigorous cost management and ensuring contract compliance.
    • Provide expert advice on procurement strategies and financial planning.
Candidate Profile
  • Qualifications:

    • Chartered status (e.g., RICS or equivalent) is strongly preferred.
    • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Experience:

    • Demonstrated experience as a Commercial Manager, with a data center consultant or client-side background.
    • Proficient in managing cost reporting, budgeting, and commercial processes.
    • Familiarity with international project environments, particularly in Ireland/UK and Europe.
  • Skills & Attributes:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder management.
    • Flexible and willing to travel frequently between Dublin and Milan.
