In Ireland, Abbott employs almost 3,000 people across 11 sites. Abbott has six manufacturing facilities located in Clonmel, Cootehill, Donegal, Longford and Sligo and a third party manufacturing management operation in Sligo. It has commercial and support operations in Dublin and shared services in Dublin and Westport. Abbott serves the Irish market with a diverse range of health care products including diagnostics, medical devices, nutritionals and branded generic pharmaceuticals. We currently have a vacancy for a Demand Planner and this position will involve the following:
 

Primary Function

Responsible for Demand & Supply Planning of ADD/TPM Products ensuring that Abbott Diagnostic operations provides a high-Quality Customer service to both internal and external Customers. Effective financial and inventory management.

Major Responsibilities

Demand & Supply Planning of a defined product group to assure the availability of Quality products in the right time, place and quantity Accountable for the Financial and inventory management of Products under Planner’s remit. Accountable for the manufacturing site Supply Plan. For new products and ramp-up ramp down products, Planner is accountable for retrieving Demand working with Regulatory and Marketing and supplying the Supply Plan with a view to ensure product availability and product fiscal management. Communicate and support Global Affiliates with available information, reservations and special requests when required. Set allocations, assignments, reservations according to Customer requirements Communicate and work with Manufacturing sites ensuring on-time delivery of orders Support ADD Programs requiring Demand management ensuring Customer Supply. Establish & carry out monthly/weekly reports & required ADD/TPM KPI´s Support Global Financial processes for your product group Identify and implement both System and process improvements

Education

The following level of education provides a necessary foundation for this job function:

A relevant third level qualification, preferably a degree and/ or APICs or IIPMM qualification as this qualification provides a good foundation for this job function. with a minimum of 18months experience in a similar role
