Role Purpose:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Credit Risk Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in banking, telecom experience a plus with a proven track record in managing credit risk. This role involves assessing, monitoring, and mitigating credit risks to ensure the financial stability and growth of the organization.

Essence of Role – Key Accountabilities:

Strategy

Develop and recommend changes to credit scoring policies for customer profiles collaborating with key stakeholders across all Vodafone channels Utilise customer data to shape risk segmentation and mitigation policies Profiling customers in the debt cycle using data analysis and data mining techniques, to understand the debt and risks Proactively identify credit risk issues and coordinate resolution management Perform detailed quantitative and qualitative credit analysis of new and existing Vodafone customers and deliver recommendations and assessment of credit risk Assessment of credit risk for all products and services, executing governance and controls.  Ensuring credit risk strategies are effective to minimise bad debt provisions, bad debt write off and customer churn Instil culture of continuous improvement across all credit risk practices Identify process gaps/tool enhancements and partner with key stakeholders to implement a scalable, stable and secure solution.

Stakeholder Management

Communication and presentation of all Credit Risk and Credit Management KPIs and creation of reporting packs for all stakeholders within the business Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements Implement regular governance meetings with key stakeholders to evaluate performance of credit risk strategies, providing insights and propose recommendations or initatives.

Performance

Performance management reporting on key credit risk policies, strategies and scorecards and KPIs Reporting regularly Head of Credit Management, CFO and Financial management and business on scorecard and credit risk performance  Documentation of all credit risk strategies and processes

Vendor Management

The Credit Risk Manager with Vendor Management responsibilities will oversee the assessment and monitoring of credit risks associated with vendors. This role involves ensuring vendor compliance with credit policies and maintaining strong relationships to mitigate potential risks.

Project Management

The Credit Risk Manager with Project Management responsibilities will lead and manage credit risk projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget. This role involves assessing and mitigating credit risks while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirement

We Are Looking For You, If You Have:

Essential

5 years within similar role within multinational environment Finance degree, Accountancy qualifications, Credit Risk qualifications Excellent analytical skill, with coding experience and a good understanding of data Proven track record of success in utilising a collaborative approach to finding solutions to credit risk problems Ability to critically evaluate and interpret complex information gathered from multiple sources and translate it into tangible business and customer impacts Significant experience of credit management in a mass consumer technology-based service industry  Strong knowledge of financial statements including a firm understanding of how to use these to assess credit risk Skilled at presenting at executive committees, leading meetings  Advanced excel and data mining skills Experience using SQL, Power BI, Python, SAP
