The Position

 

An exciting opportunity has come up to join our Finance team who are looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join their team. The successful candidate will work closely with the management team on debt collection to ensure payments are being received within payment terms and client account queries are dealt with in a timely manner. Maintaining client relationship is core to this position.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and monitoring a credit control system in collaboration with various teams.
  • Assist in implementing necessary changes to the credit-control system.
  • Liaise with management team in debt collection planning.
  • Follow up with clients to request payment.
  • Negotiate and agree payment plans.
  • Maintain accurate records.
  • Follow up on client account queries.
  • Issue weekly and monthly debtors reports to management team.
  • Perform payment reconciliations.
  • Other adhoc finance related duties as delegated by the department.

 

Education and Experience

 

Job Qualifications (Minimum Requirements)

  • Minimum of two years' experience in a similar position
  • Accounting Technician / Degree qualification in finance or business administration
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft applications and excel
