Position: Private Medical Secretary (Full Time )

Applications are invited for post of Medical secretary  for a Consultant Colorectal Surgeon and a Consultant Gastroenterologist at Beacon Hospital. Previous medical secretary experience essential.

 

The role will consist of:

  • Medical administration and organisation of the practice including organising referrals, answering telephone/email/general queries
  • Scanning, faxing, filing, photocopying
  • Updating patient records
  • Processing payments, billing debtors
  • Running the day to day activities including welcoming and directing clients
  • Liaising with GP practices and patients
  • Acting as PA to the consultant and practice
  • Organisation of clinics, and Cath Lab
  • Management/ organisation of results and outcomes reviewed by the consultant. 

Qualifications and skills:

  • Excellent customer service, telephone and computer skills
  • Strong organisational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Flexible, adaptive and proactive work ethics
  • Understanding of client/patient confidentiality

Applicants must have experience in medical administration / secretarial activity.
