Location: Dublin, as part of our hybrid working model.

Grade: Assistant

Contract type: Permanent

We are currently seeking to hire a Test Engineer (Applications Development) for a permanent opportunity, based in Dublin.

This role will play a critical role in driving collaboration, automation, and quality within the software development process and optimizing the software development lifecycle by implementing DevOps practices while ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications. You will need to be self-motivated, results oriented, communicate effectively, and work well in a team.

Strong experience as a Test Engineer with a proven track record of delivery5+ years' experience in this areaIndustry knowledge & experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Experience in DevOps practices, including continuous integration, continuous deployment, and infrastructure automation.Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, PowerShell, or Python.Experience of Behaviour-Driven Development and Test-Driven DevelopmentUnderstanding of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.Proficiency in version control systems such as Git.Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and best practices.Experience with test automation frameworks and tools (, Gherkin. Selenium, TestNG).Familiarity with performance testing tools (, JMeter).Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and practices.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in cross-functional teams.Demonstrated ability to problem solve.Excellent attention to detail required.

Design and implement automated testing frameworks and strategies for functional and non-functional testing.Collaborate with development teams to streamline build, test, and release processes.Interrogate business requirements and influence technical solutions to ensure quantifiable testability of solutions.Conduct performance testing and optimization to ensure optimal system performance and scalability.Collaborate with development and test teams to develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases.Perform root cause analysis of production issues and implement preventive measures.Continuously improve processes and tools to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality.Stay updated with industry trends, tools, and technologies related to DevOps and QA
