Fohntech Group is seeking a qualified and experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join our team in Limerick with an immediate start.
As a Mechanical Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing mechanical operations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, and maintaining the highest standards of quality in our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate mechanical activities on-site, ensuring efficient execution of projects.
- Enforce and promote strict adherence to safety guidelines and regulations.
- Lead and mentor a team of mechanical technicians, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work plans to ensure accurate project implementation.
- Conduct regular inspections to assess the quality of mechanical work and address any deviations from standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
- Manage and maintain mechanical equipment, tools and materials to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide technical expertise and support in troubleshooting mechanical issues.
- Ensure compliance with project timelines and budgetary constraints.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and effective communication.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Pharmaceutical experience
- Experience at commissioning stages of a project an advantage but not essential
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment and processes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Mechanical or relevant engineering degree/certification.
