Electrical Technician

Pareto FM are seeking a highly skilled, forward thinking, positive, and dynamic Electrical Technician for our prestigious global client in their flagship building in Limerick City. In this crucial role, you will work closely with the Building Engineering Lead, managing the technical services (PPMs), ensuring that all building systems operate efficiently. While the focus is on electrical expertise, the ideal candidate will also have a solid understanding of mechanical and building services.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all electrical systems within the facility, ensuring their efficient operation and compliance with IRE electrical regulations. Ireland electrical qualifications are essential for this role. The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting in a facilities management or similar environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Electrical Maintenance and Repair:
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, emergency systems, and electrical equipment, to identify and address issues proactively.
- Perform electrical repairs, replacements, and upgrades as necessary to ensure the safe and reliable operation of electrical infrastructure.
- Respond promptly to electrical emergencies and faults, diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime and disruption to operations.
- Ensure compliance with IRE electrical regulations, standards, and codes of practice in all electrical maintenance activities.
- Conduct periodic testing and inspection of electrical systems to verify their safety, integrity, and performance, maintaining accurate records of test results and compliance documentation.
- Keep abreast of regulatory changes and industry best practices in electrical engineering, implementing necessary updates and improvements to maintain compliance.
- Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance technicians and contractors on electrical systems and equipment, including troubleshooting complex issues and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to integrate electrical systems with other building systems and infrastructure effectively.
- Review electrical design specifications, drawings, and proposals for new installations or upgrades, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and project objectives.
- Maintain comprehensive records of electrical maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, test results, and equipment documentation.
- Prepare detailed reports on electrical maintenance activities, including work completed, issues encountered, and recommendations for improvements.
- Collaborate with the facility management team to develop budgets, forecasts, and expenditure reports related to electrical maintenance operations.
Qualifications:
- IRE electrical qualifications is a must
- Experience in electrical maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting in a facilities management or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of IRE electrical regulations, standards, and codes of practice.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Inspection and testing qualification desired
- Monday- Friday (40 hours per week) 08.00 – 17.00
