The Role 

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Embedded Software Engineer - (RAN). GlobalLogic communication delivery unit is looking for specialists in the radio access network domain to develop cutting edge technology stack. As a part of the software development team, you will be focusing on RAN enterprise system design, development, testing and integration. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design, development, testing and integration of software components at LTE/5G RAN in L1/L2 protocol stack.
  • Triage software issues and work on product improvements.
  • Contribute to the improvement of SW architecture (for Senior roles)
  • Guide technical teams (for Senior roles)
  • Engage collaboratively with hardware engineers, system architects, other software engineers, testers, and domain experts to ensure seamless integration of components and end-to-end system reliability.
  • Work within an Agile development environment.

What we’re looking for:

Highly skilled in SW design, especially real-time C-programming, embedded/DSP programming in multi/many-core architecture, and C++ programming.

  • Good 3GPP radio access standardization knowledge, including radio access algorithms,
  • radio access protocols.
  • Experience with developing/systemizing/testing software for 5G and/or LTE L1/L2
  • protocols.
  • Good knowledge of test methodology, test tools and simulators on system as well as node level. Some test cases and scenarios are automated, so good/excellent knowledge in Java, Perl, XML, Python languages and frameworks is a must.
  • Good knowledge in Git, Gerrit and Jira.
  • Be able to work with SW design, SW implementation and SW verification/integration.
  • Knowledge about agile and lean ways of working.
  • Self-driven and proactive approach.
  • Good (not only basic) English knowledge - understand, speak, and write.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • · Good documentation skills.

Required Qualifications

  • 3 – 6+ years’ experience in embedded software design and development.
  • B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field

Training in developing firmware solutions using C, C++, and experience in 4G/5G Baseband design, test, systems etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

Training in Telecommunication development or other highly regulated industries is an asset.
