EMC validation Engineer
Team Horizon is seeking a EMC validation Engineer for a leading manufacturing company based in North Galway. The role is responsible for all EMC Validation activities from RFQ phase to final customer acceptance of a defined project, it runs the activities for one project according to company rules and international standards. Optionally (&opt.), the role of ET Validation Leader for Electrical Testing can be taken over by the EMC Validation Leader.

What you will be doing:
• Analysis of the EMC (&opt. ET) relevant requirements.
• Definition of the EMC (&opt. ET) test cases according to the requirements, standards, regulations and further.
• Applicable documents like Functional Safety Concept (test scope)
• Writing and maintaining of EMC (&opt. ET) Test Plan, including review and approval of the document.
• Prepare FVS from EMC (&opt. ET) perspective.
• Generation of EMC (&opt. ET) validation cost estimation.
• Lead EMC (&opt. ET) validation activities including equipment, planning, booking of internal and external resources.
• Review EMC (&opt. ET) Test Report.
• Based on failure analysis making proposals for design optimization.
• Perform internal communication including status and test progress, results.
• Interface to the EMC (&opt. ET) Design Team.
• Perform customer communication verbally and in written format about all relevant EMC (&opt. ET) topics including EMC (&opt. ET) test status, results and reports.
• In case of failure during validation campaigns creation of failure tickets (artifact) and reporting to the Project team (M-MP, R&D Mechatronics PTM, EMC Design Engineer).
• Support product conformity according to Type Approval process.
• Support EMC (&opt. ET) Design Engineer about EMC (&opt. ET) risk analysis.
• And any other duties as assigned.
What you need to apply:
• Degree in Electronic Engineering, Physics, Electronics / RF Microwaves or equivalent preferred.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• The person must be able to demonstrate a level of commitment, initiative and quality of workmanship required within an R&D environment.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in EMC test laboratory or in an EMC related role preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in electronics development may be acceptable
