Solar PV Installer (Galway).

Due to expansion a vacancy has arisen for a Solar Photovoltaic installer. This is a full time permanent position, working 5 days, 40 hours per week. Full training provided. The main activities in this role will be the installation of PV solar panels on residential roofs and commercial roofs throughout West of Ireland. All associated work: using power tools, erecting scaffolding, installing hooks and rails and control panel installation ready for electrician to connect. Responsibilities.

• Instal solar PV systems, consisting of panels and mounting systems in domestic, commercial, agricultural settings and ground mounted systems.
• Capture and record all the necessary imagery/ documentation and submit to the administration team for grant processing
• Adhering to the SEAI Domestic Solar photovoltaic code of practice for installers.
• Deliver excellence to our customers by communicating with end customers through all stages of installation.
• Communicate with the team and admin on projects
• Ensuring that all panel installations are undertaken in a professional and timely manner.
• Ensure compliance at all times with H&S regulations.
• Undertaking technical training required on new or upgraded systems.
• Liaise with electrical team to schedule times of installation
• Ensuring deadlines are met for upcoming installations and projects.
• Engaging with our customers and providing information and advice on work being undertaken.
• Adhere to Health and Safety at all times.

Ideal Candidate.

• Minimum of 1-2 years exp, experience in the installation, maintenance, and servicing of solar panels. 
• Prior experience as an Electrician looked favourably upon but not essential.
• Excellent communication skills with strong customer focus, dealing with both new and existing clients. Good IT skills.
• Full clean driver's licence.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience working on domestic properties as a qualified Roofer working on slate and tiled roofs.
• Safe pass (required)
• An ability to work with slates/tiles is essential. Must have the ability to lay out/ measure and follow procedure.
• Experience with solar PV is highly desirable but not essential as training and support is provided
• A full clean drivers license is desirable but not essential
• Comfortable working at height
• Experience using Power Tools and Hand Tools
• Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
• Previous experience in solar thermal panel installation or a related field is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and construction techniques.

Salary

 EUR14 Per hour pending on exp. and will be discussed at interview.
