The Ellison Hotel, Castlebar, Co. Mayo is currently seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Hotel Receptionist to join our friendly and dynamic team.

The Ellison Hotel, is part of the Comer Group Hotels.

Objective of the Role:

As the successful candidate you will be the first point of contact for guests on arrival to the hotel, therefore setting the tone and standard of a guests stay. You will be both friendly and professional at all times and full training of the systems will be provided.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome all guests of the hotel.
• Register the guests upon arrival and take payment.
• Answer any queries guests may have on both in-house facilities and tourist information.
• Take responsibility for the security of the keys.
• Update all guest information in computer system.
• Take and confirm reservations to our guests.

Skills and Requirements:

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Capability to work well under tight deadlines and the ability to work in a pressurised environment.
• Previous experience in a similar role - essential..
• Previous experience with Hot-soft would be advantageous.
