OVERVIEW

Our client is for recruiting an Energy Engineer to help the technical team in delivering and securing energy projects. These projects are varied ranging from LPHW, CHW, Steam, Compressed air, Refrigeration in the industrial sector to building services such as Lighting, HVAC, Distribution, controls/BEMS, and Renewable Energy in the commercial/real estate sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for energy efficiency, renewable energy, energy management, and sustainability.

Technology Assessment:

The role will
require knowledge and experience in energy auditing, energy consumption forecasting and energy modelling through life cycle and capital cost / benefits analysis.
carry out in-depth investment grade audits , producing revenue and energy savings projection models.
support the review of energy efficiency technologies/proposals to assess quality, reliability, and suitability for funding.
Project Assessment

The role will
support the identification, analysis, provisional design and costing of energy conservation projects. perform site visits for individual projects to assess feasibility, complexity etc.
assist in overall project feasibility and assessment of projects.
contribute to the commercial review of potential business opportunities.
have experience in carrying out tender evaluations and contract negotiations.
analyse and interpret past and projected performance to influence future actions/plans.
analyse the impact of business opportunities on projected cash flows and resources.
Project Management

The role will
support the project management and delivery of energy conservation projects.
implement and embed reporting processes and internal controls for projects as required.
liaise with partner organisations to ensure project implementations are on track and that projects are delivered on time and within budget
Key Skills, Capabilities and Experience
3rd level degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering /Building Services or equivalent experience
3+ years experience in an energy role with strong working knowledge of energy efficiency technologies/cleantech.
Certified Energy Manager (CEM)/Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) or Certified Measurement & Verification Practitioner (CMVP) or equivalent.
Mechanical or Electrical design experience or experience of working in the maintenance or building services sector, to include electrical, mechanical and controls work.
Ability to identify and quantify energy saving opportunities in the industrial and commercial sectors
Flexibility, proven problem-solving ability, and a “can-do” attitude are essential.
Excellent spreadsheet, presentation, and reporting skills (AutoCAD an advantage).
EU driving license and a car or other door to door mode of transport.
