Job Description

The Non-Life Legal Entity & Solvency II team is a team providing actuarial oversight, constructive challenge and support, in addition to fulfilling its required regulatory responsibilities. It has responsibility for the Group and legal entities within the Group.

As part of the Non-Life Legal Entity & Solvency II team you will be involved in a variety of activities including:
  • Delivering IFRS17 quarterly and annual reporting requirements for the non life legal entities in Canada and Asia.
  • Maintaining documentation of processes and procedures.
  • Working closely with Finance to ensure the efficient production of inputs to quarterly and annual IFRS17 financial statements.
  • Contributing to the monitoring of changes in rules and guidances or market practice relating to the calculation of IFRS17 requirements.
  • Contribute to the continued enhancement of the IFRS17 actuarial environment.
  • Supporting the team in its work for ad hoc projects, such as responding to requests from the regulator.

You will in addition, as part of the wider Legal Entity & Solvency II team, be provided with the opportunity to provide assistance on other Group related tasks, including Solvency II.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
  • Nearly or Newly Qualified Non-Life Actuary.
  • Professional experience with IFRS 17 & Solvency II.
  • Effective communication skills and proficiency in English.
  • Ability to work under pressure and within prescribed deadlines.
  • Strong motivation, team-orientation, adaptability & problem solving skills.
  • Ability to develop and translate new ideas into effective business solutions.
  • Advance proficiency in data analytics and strong MS Office skills
