Cyber Security Consultant - OT

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced OT (Operational Technology) Cyber Security Consultant to join my clients team. As an OT Cyber Security Consultant, you will be responsible for assessing, analyzing, and implementing robust security measures to protect critical industrial control systems (ICS) and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems. You will collaborate with clients to understand their specific OT security needs, assess vulnerabilities, and develop tailored solutions to mitigate risks and ensure the integrity, availability, and confidentiality of their OT environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of OT environments to identify security vulnerabilities, threats, and risks.
  • Develop and implement OT cyber security strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements
  • Design and deploy security controls and solutions to safeguard OT systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), intrusion prevention systems (IPS), endpoint protection, and security information and event management (SIEM) solutions.
  • Perform penetration testing and vulnerability assessments on OT networks, devices, and applications to identify weaknesses and recommend remediation measures.
  • Provide guidance and support to clients in implementing secure configurations, patch management, and access control mechanisms for OT assets.
  • Conduct security awareness training and workshops for OT personnel to enhance their understanding of cyber security risks and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT security, engineering, and operations, to integrate OT security controls into overall enterprise security architecture.
  • Stay abreast of emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies in the OT security landscape and provide recommendations for proactive risk mitigation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in OT cyber security, with a focus on securing industrial control systems (ICS) and SCADA environments.
  • Proficiency in conducting OT security assessments using tools such as Wireshark, Nessus, and Metasploit.
  • Strong knowledge of OT security frameworks and standards, such as ISA/IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82, and IEC 61850.
  • Experience with designing and implementing security controls for OT environments, including network segmentation, encryption, and anomaly detection.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GICSP, or OSCP are highly desirable.
