What is the opportunity?

We are eagerly looking to recruit an Agile Practices officer to join our Data Solutions team within Bank of Ireland As Agile Support Officer, you will assist in the central oversight and support of the governance and management of the Data Solutions Team within the Group Data & Analytics Office (GDAO).

You will work in a team of like-minded professionals with a broad range of experience and backgrounds across Data, IT and the Business. You will help craft, guide, and establish the ways of working, participate in exciting transformation initiatives and be part of a team that helps develop strategic capabilities to enable the bank to develop and maintain its strategic asset.

In this role, you will:
  • Support Agile practice Lead on Agile Roll out to Operate Model
  • Support and guide our individuals, teams, and organisations in understanding and applying Agile principles and practices and processes using our tooling Jira and Eazy BI.
  • Deliver training and coaching to team members on our tooling best practices (Jira and Eazy BI) to assist in in our metrics reporting.
  • Deliver key dashboards/reports to present our metrics to DS leadership team.
  • Conduct coaching /training sessions on good practice for Jira and Eazy BI.
What will make you stand out?

You have a proven track record within an Agile environment and be familiar with both Kanban/Scrum agile practices. You have superb communication and interpersonal skills; you are a self-starter with ability to work on own initiative and confirmed ability to provide high- standards of work.

Experience with any of the following will help you to stand out but is not necessary in order to apply for this role;

  • 2-3+ years in working in Agile environment
  • Scrum/Kanban certifications
  • Proficient knowledge of Atlassian suit tooling and evidence of experience rolling out tooling across projects

Data Solutions within the Group Data and Analytics Office functions to enable Bank of Ireland to exploit data assets across the enterprise to drive incremental value to the organisation. This is achieved through greater collaboration, a focus on building well-rounded data-specific capabilities through a product management approach and increasing execution agility through modern ways of working and delegated decision-making.

This job can be done anywhere in the Republic of Ireland with the primary office location as Dublin to which travel will be required for in person collaboration.

Exact frequency to be agreed with manager. Please note you must live in the jurisdiction for the business to which you are contracted.
