Kverneland Group Mechatronics BV  develops and produces advanced operating systems for agricultural machines. Our terminals, electronic control units, and licenses ensure that agricultural machines/implements are easy to connect, operate and monitor. When Smart/Precision farming is applied, it reduces the need for raw materials, simplifies work, less costs, and enables higher yields. Which is better for the environment and farmers and contractors ultimately get a higher profit in return. As an addition to our team, we are looking for a  Project Manager R&D – Embedded Software .

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • As Project Manager R&D, you manage the right processes and functions to translate customer demand into an end product. You are responsible for delivering projects within the set objectives, from a planning perspective as well as a quality and financial perspective.
  • You have regular contact with the customer and report the progress. You also contribute in a pivotal manner to the project and manage the software/hardware development process within the project. These development processes are different in scope and for both internal and external customers. We develop our projects with a mix of waterfall and/or agile processes. You directly manage the project team of 20 engineers. Within this position, you report to the Manager Projects.
  • You document and communicate the required activities including preparation, execution, and recording of meetings, presentations, and gatherings concerning assigned projects.

We need:

  • 2 to 6 years  of relevant experience as a  team leader , or  project leader/manager  in a  technical (software) product development environment
  • Experience with  Agile product development
  • Experience with  project management tools  and  project reporting
  • Identify opportunities and being able to convert those opportunities into projects
  • A drive to continuously improve
  • Experience working with  international and multicultural teams
  • Willingness to travel  (with some regularity) to support the implementation of international projects
  • Good command of spoken and written  English
  • Affinity with embedded software and/or the agricultural sector is a plus
  • Leadership
  • Planning and organizing
  • Result orientation
