CUSTOMER SUPPORT SPECIALIST
My client, an Irish owned business that has developed into one of Europe’s leading industrial distribution companies supplying over 100,000 products to customers globally, is looking to hire a Customer Support Specialist to join their customer service team in Galway City.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
- Handle customer purchase orders and enquiries efficiently.
- Manage customer queries by phone and email.
- Identify opportunities to up-sell and cross-sell based on customer needs.
- Educate customers on the advantages of products.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth operations within the international business unit, adhering to regulations and company policies.
- Support external sales teams to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Recognise, document and escalate customer issues or trends following appropriate communication and escalation channels where required.
- Stay up to date on product knowledge and keeping up to date on product material. Produce weekly and monthly reports using SAP.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Technical or production experience is highly advantageous.
- Experience working with multinational organisations is desirable.
- Strong ability to assess customer needs and identify sales opportunities.
- Confidence in explaining product features and benefits.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and administrative skills.
- A flexible, proactive approach with a willingness to embrace new initiatives.
- A strong commitment to delivering top-tier customer service.
