The Project Engineer will design, source, install and maintain equipment to support the on-site manufacturing process, contributing to development and improvements. As such you should be able to work well with the internal operations team and external contractors and suppliers.
Easily commutable from within counties Meath, Cavan, Louth, Monaghan, Armagh and Westmeath.
Requirements:
- Holder of a Mechanical Engineering Degree with previous experience in a similar role within manufacturing.
- Good CAD abilities.
- Proven experience working as part of a team and across differing functions.
- Be analytical, with good problem solving abilities and can lead teams with drive and determination.
- Proficient in MS Office
Key Duties & Responsibilities:Â
- Research, design, evaluate, procure, install, operate, and maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes to meet requirements, applying knowledge of engineering principles.
- Manages projects to ensure they are delivered Safe, timely and in a cost-effective manner in agreement with the Project engineering manager.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
- Confer with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.
- Research and analyse customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
- Promote company Health and Safety, Environmental, and Quality Policies in the performance of the role.
- Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and to make recommendations to maintenance crew.
- Provide feedback to design engineers on customer problems and needs.
- Write and ensure all relevant documentation to standard.
- Work to project budgets and timeframes.
