Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Learning and Development Specialist to join our team.

You will support the provision of best-in-class training to a wide range of disciplines across the site including POT, Craft, Quality Labs, Leadership etc.

Bring energy, knowledge, innovation to carry out the following:

  • Overall responsibility for the redevelopment of the way in which we train on skills.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of high-quality programs, built on best practices in the field, innovation, and sharing of resources.
  • Identifying and assessing future and current training needs.
  • Identify and assess future and current training needs through job exploration, career paths and changes to technologies.
  • Deploy a wide variety of training methods.
  • Monitor and evaluate training program’s effectiveness, success and ROI periodically and report on them.
  • Resolve any specific problems and tailor training programs as necessary.
  • Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments and best practices
  • Ensure ongoing programmatic excellence, rigorous program evaluation, in order to drive continuous improvement within.
  • Oversee the safety and experience of learners through policies and procedures.
  • Create and promote a culture of Learning that permeates throughout the site.
  • Ensure effective systems to track Learning program development and outcomes and regularly evaluate program components to ensure that the requirements of site management team are met and that outcomes measurements are produced that can be effectively conveyed.
  • Build partnerships with sister sites and outside organizations to raise the bar on how we train our people.

What skills you will need:

In order to excel in this role, you will more than likely have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a discipline relevant to the Pharmaceutical Industry.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in the Pharmaceutical industry or a similar operating environment with experience in a Learning and Development role.
  • High technical knowledge of Pharma processes - Ops, Eng, Labs and Compliance
  • Demonstrated coaching/facilitation skills.
  • Demonstrated passion for development of reports.
  • Experience using a Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Working knowledge and application of Learning Values and Evaluation Methodologies
  • Desirable: Evidence of Continuous Personal Development.
  • Desirable: Qualification in Training or Development
  • Desirable: Lean or Six Sigma Green/Black belt.
