Purpose of Job

We now have an opportunity for a Sustainability Co-Ordinator at a client Data Centre in Dublin. This role offers huge development potential for any candidate wanting to work on the leading edge of the growing data center industry. The Sustainability Co-Ordinator will report to the Soft Services Facilities Manager and will primarily drive the development of basic programs to help measure and improve sustainability performance. across the Campus. They are responsible for the development and implementation of environmental and social sustainability programs.

 Location: Dublin West

 Working Week: 40 Hours, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm

 Salary: Depending on Experience.

 Example of Responsibilities:

·        Assist with the development of dashboard reports or presentations.

·        Identify needed resources to implement sustainability programs or projects.

·        Review data and interpretation of sustainability reports to identify opportunities for new programs and improvements in current programs.

·        Generate variance reports from collected energy, waste, and water data to communicate performance at various client sites.

·         Support sustainability goals and implement strategies and programs.

·         Propose sustainability initiatives, considering factors such as cost-effectiveness, technical feasibility, and facility integration.

·         Track sustainability indicators, such as energy usage, natural resource usage, waste generation, and recycling.

·        Have some knowledge of standard principles with limited practical experience in applying them.

·        Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.

·         Impact the quality of own work.

·        Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.

·         Exchange straightforward information, ask questions, and check for understanding.

·        May be involved with communicating and coordinating with movers, vendors and other internal/external staff members as required. May work as the backup liaison to other in-house support groups.

·         Initiation of purchase orders for services/goods and processes related invoicing, Manages expenses within the approved budget.

·        Work with appropriate staff members/building engineers and vendors to resolve any issues. Respond to tenant/client requests promptly and assist in answering tenant/client questions and resolving tenant/client concerns.

Key Personal Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with up to 3 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

  •  Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems.

  • Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

  •  Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.

·        A background and basic understanding of Integrated Facility management and associated contracts with relevant experience in any of the following: Facilities helpdesk, Health & Safety, facilities admin, contract support etc.

·         Excellent communications skills.

·         Excellent client relationship skills and ability to develop Influence.

·         Strong understanding of finances.

·         Be capable of supervising commercial relationships and appraising the value of services succinctly and be able to recognise and address areas of poor performance within our service providers and propose suitable remedial measures.

·         Capable of dealing with contentious and challenging situations, resolving with a successful conclusion.

·        Possess strong numerical, verbal, and written reporting skills as well as competence with spreadsheets, Outlook, Word document software & Other intuitive software package routinely used within an office environment.

·        An understanding of the facilities management discipline is essential, together with practical knowledge of the requirements under the prevailing contract and Health and Safety legislation and appreciation of ‘Green’ issues.

·        Willingness to be “hands on” when required.

·        Flexibility and willingness to travel to other CBRE Sites if required.

·        Calm manner and able to work under pressure.

·        Character: Committed to the delivery of excellent customer service.

·        Self-motivated, ability to work on own initiative.

·        Punctual and reliable.

·        Good attention to detail.

·        A team player, able to work with CBRE and client’s staff at all levels.

·        Circumstances: Must be flexible in their working patterns to support requirements dictated by the rhythm of the business.

·        The ability to learn quickly and to gain maximum benefit from extensive training and development programs aimed at ensuring that any identified knowledge or experience deficiencies are addressed in the short term.
