Job Description

Join our team as a Utilities and Calibration Lead, where you'll be responsible for managing site utilities and calibration systems, ensuring equipment availability and performance, and providing high-quality calibration services to support pharmaceutical product manufacturing.

As the Utilities and Calibration Lead, you will actively participate in the Tier process, proactively resolving issues and ensuring business priorities are met.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the utility team in resolving operational issues.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering team, sharing best practices in utilities and calibration.
  • Ensure high-quality products through equipment availability and performance optimization.
  • Participate in the Engineering team, sharing calibration best practices.
  • Oversee calibration systems, ensuring compliance and supporting new projects.
  • Participate in the global calibration alliance, keeping up with CCMS changes and best practices.
  • Conduct site investigations for calibration deviations and address related quality actions.
  • Ensure sound Engineering stewardship, including resource planning, maintenance scheduling, and budget control.
  • Maintain highest quality and compliance standards.
  • Attend Tier meetings and manage day-to-day operations of utilities and calibration teams.
  • Coordinate planning, scheduling, and performance reviews of utilities and calibration activities.
  • Implement equipment reliability and performance programs, focusing on energy management.
  • Investigate EHS incidents and quality issues, and participate in risk assessments.
  • Manage utilities and calibration systems and represent them during inspections.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of operational experience in utilities environment (electrical/utilities management,  or calibrations).
  • 5+ years of operational leadership experience.
  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Process and technology background with optimization skills.
  • Ability to hold project team members accountable and drive improvement initiatives.
  • Success in team environments (project teams, Six Sigma, etc.).
  • Strong problem-solving and facilitation skills.
  • Proficiency in PC applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with management systems (PM, EHS, PRINCE, Microsoft PM, etc.).
  • Stakeholder management across decision-makers, colleagues, and cross-functional teams.
  • Detailed knowledge of Clean utilities and calibration operations
  • High-level understanding of safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong planning, prioritization, and time management abilities.
