What is the opportunity?

This is a Group role to lead technical solution delivery for strategic analytics projects, realising the value of our Enterprise Data. You will craft, develop and deliver solutions to businesses across the Group, using innovative technologies in data exploration, machine learning and visualisation.

This is an opportunity to partner with the business on a wide range of projects, collaborating on appropriate ways of working and proposing new methodologies. In a Chief Data & Analytics Office management position, you will contribute more broadly to the achievement of overall strategies, plans and priorities

In this role, you will:
  • Use advanced analytics to provide insight into the customer base, developing independent key metrics such as customer activity, product penetration, share of wallet and transactional behaviour preferences. Build Machine Learning models autonomously.
  • Conduct data science related engineering to create new data stores and productionised data features, to embed and scale analytics models.
  • Collaborate with colleagues from across the Bank to eliminate silos, to drive the adoption of the Enterprise Data Warehouse & Enterprise Data Lake and to share best practice.
  • Engage Senior Business network across Retail, Corporate & Marketing to generate demand, discover issues and innovate solutions.
  • Build high quality Data Visualisations and Dashboards that engage partners and address business problems.
What will make you stand out?

The successful candidate will have phenomenal experience in data analytics, including experience with multiple machine learning techniques / models (Supervised Models, Ensembles, Unsupervised learning techniques). They will also have experience in extracting value from structured and unstructured datasets using data science tools and techniques.

You will have extensive knowledge of using common programming languages (Python and SQL preferred) and different statistics and machine learning libraries (Pandas, scikit-learn, PySpark etc). Demonstrate experience in developing complex solutions utilising leading data science tools such as Cloudera M/L, Python, Hadoop & Spark. Strong interpretative and analytical skills, with the confidence to provide a professional, objective and independent viewpoint.

Experience with any of the following will help you to stand out but is not vital in order to apply for this role;

  • Experience in Financial Services Data Analytics & Senior Stakeholder Management.
  • Knowledge of developing AI/ML pipelines and harnessing techniques such as clustering, classification, deep learning and/or stochastic modelling.
  • Experience of data engineering including optimizing big data ETL pipeline, code refactoring and performance monitoring.
Essential Qualifications

Third Level qualification, in mathematics, science, statistics, finance, IT, or another relevant subject area.

Reporting to the Chief Data & Analytics Officer (CDAO), the Analytics team is responsible for the development and execution of the Bank's data analytics strategy. The role holder will deliver value-prioritised analytics & AI projects that are closely aligned to the Groups strategic ambition on behalf of internal customers; and contribute to identifying appropriate framework tools and standards to enable the Bank o become a data driven organisation at all levels of the company.

This job can be done anywhere in the Republic of Ireland with the primary office location as Dublin to which travel will be required for in person collaboration.
