Job Description

Work with a talented group of developers to deliver the next generation of applications, tooling and solutions to drive improvements in the area of international capabilities of our platform.  Working with our team’s architect, you will develop cutting edge solutions to drive efficiencies in our international go to market processes.  You will have opportunities to build new applications on our platform from the ground up and drive capability improvements in some of our existing customer-focussed applications. 

What you get to do in this role:  

  • Lead a growing team to deliver new and developing apps, and targeted improvements to internationalization capabilities within our platform
  • Support and extend our internationalization toolset, to drive improvements to our globalization capabilities in areas like: content extraction, automated problem detection, and driving conformance to internationalization best practices
  • Manage and execute against project plans and delivery commitments
  • Manage the team in an Agile/Scrum environment and drive engineering excellence
  • Work with product architecture, management, design, support and other dev teams to create high-quality solutions
  • Manage customer escalations
  • Solve difficult and sometimes ambiguous problems
  • Provide technical guidance, career development, and mentoring to team members
  • Hire, coach, motivate, and grow an amazing team of engineers
Qualifications

To be successful in this role you have:

  • 6+ years of experience with technologies which are relevant to ServiceNow and advanced coding skills
  • 2+ years experience leading, mentoring and coaching software development teams
  • Passion for software development and problem solving
  • Experience with open-source tools and agile development environments
  • Fluency in one or more relevant programming language (Java, C++, Ruby, Shell, JavaScript)
  • Knowledge of AJAX, JSON, HTML, XML, CSS, SOAP, REST and associated frameworks
  • Ability to execute a project based on our priorities, context, risks and desired outcomes
