Graduate Engineer

Role: Graduate Engineer

Company: Boliden Tara Mines

Location: Navan, County Meath

12 Month Temporary Contract

An excellent opportunity has arisen at Boliden Tara Mines DAC for a Graduate Engineer to join our team in Navan, County Meath. As a leading mining operation, our purpose is to provide the metals essential to improve society for generations to come, guided by our core values of Care, Courage, and Responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assist the Backfill Engineer and the broader mine engineering team in various tasks related to Materials Handling, Backfill, and Construction and mining in general.
  2. Manage document control processes.
  3. Conduct quality control checks to uphold project standards.
  4. Oversee records and deliveries to ensure timely project progression.
  5. Compile and report weekly and monthly data and information.
  6. Perform general administrative duties as required.
  7. Undertake other ad hoc duties as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
  1. A Level 7 or Level 8 degree in Civil, Structural, Mining, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  2. Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
Skills and Capabilities:
  1. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve complex issues through technical solutions.
  2. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent listening and interpersonal abilities.
  3. Proactivity and Motivation: Self-motivated, hardworking, and conscientious, with the ability to work under pressure and complete tasks efficiently.
  4. Adaptability: Flexible approach to work, open to change and innovation within the company.

Additional Information:
  1. This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.
  2. A degree of flexibility is required in line with operational needs.
  3. Some international travel may be involved.
