In 2019, Transdev also took over the Maintenance management contract. As part of the continuous improvement project, Transdev is looking for new talent to join the Fleet Engineering team.* is reserved for a specific category of individuals. Responsibilities The Fleet Project Engineer will report to the Fleet Engineer Manager, working in the Fleet Engineering department. They will work in collaboration with other Fleet Engineers in the team who are involved in similar VIE is oriented on energy consumption reduction and key cost saving for the company.  return of investment must be shown with Total Cost of Ownership The Fleet Project Engineer will liaise with Fleet Maintenance Production (Depot manager, planner, MTM, technicians) for improvement of working methods or technical systems on trams (trials or fleet deployment). They will be responsible for project management of all jobs assigned to will work closely with suppliers of tram components, services and tools. They will also prepare any documentation that needs to be sent to our client TII (the PTA for LUAS) or the safety authority (CRR).Jobs and projects assigned to the Fleet Project Engineer could be as follows: New Saloon LED Lights on all fleets due to obsolescence of the bulbs Fresh Air system on 402/502 fleet for energy saving purpose, Under 3 kph Heat & Vent to shut off, to reduce energy consumption. New Sanding system for 401 trams – New compressor, new ejectors with adaptation for air intake, adaptation of the hoses, ONIX reliability program on 401 fleet, Those projects may change because of priorities management or client Project Fleet Engineer could also participate in other activities inside the Fleet Engineering department depending on the project's main responsibilities for this role will be part of the roadmap of the Engineer department:  Designing  Design the best solutions with the help of the suppliers and other fleet engineers,  Long-term thinking with a maintainer point of view, Demonstration & prototype Reporting and documentation Internally reporting to lead engineer on those projects or engineer manager, Production of deliverables for the PTA and the deliverables needed internally (Work Instructions, change control documentation, Build of Material List) Managing suppliers in terms solution's implementation Regular meetings with the suppliers, Negotiating the costs and technical implementation, Project management aspects (planning, quality, documentation), Planning Define a global planning for each project, then monitor it. Link with fleet planner to implement the solutions on trams. Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or related field. Preferably 2 years' experience in a technical expertise, project management, cost savings or quality management. Project Management experience would make a difference. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively. Strong analytical skills and efficiency thinking. Skills Strong communication skills & Excellent organizational skills  Excellent time-management, planning, conceptual and consultative skills  Effective co-ordination skills & Ability to motivate others and take responsibility.  High ability to adapt to the local context.  Language  English full proficiency is required.
