The Role

We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic Application Support Engineer who is committed to their work and comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly flexible environment. The role will be responsible for providing excellent technical support and customer service as part of our Level 2 support.


Responsibilities of this role:

  1. Coordinate with support and development teams to resolve application and system issues.
  2. Design and maintain expertise in the flow of application processes and systems related to the company.
  3. Administer and resolve application issues, provide updates, and perform root cause analysis.
  4. Supervise all alerts related to application and system procedures and provide services proactively.
  5. Maintain good professional relationships with counterparts in engineering and customer support departments.
  6. Organize and implement projects ranging from small to medium size and provide assistance to all processes under the guidance of Software Engineers.
  7. Perform root cause assessment and debug all issues on the server domain, and availability of applications.
  8. Coordinate with the test department to assist in releases and deployments to various environments and production outputs.
  9. Provide support, identify all issues, and prepare appropriate documentation for all issues and solutions.
  10. Manage all production systems, recommend ways to optimize performance, and provide solutions to problems, and prepare reports for all problems.
  11. Identify and provide resolutions ranging in complexity from medium to high.

Requirements

Essential Experience and Qualifications

  1. Fluent English.
  2. A degree level qualification in a technical discipline such as Computer Science or Software Engineering.
  3. Knowledge and experience of administering or using Microsoft IIS.
  4. Knowledge of Database technologies (Microsoft SQL Server) and working fluency in SQL.
  5. Ability to diagnose and address application issues.
  6. Working knowledge of IT hardware and software.
  7. Ability to learn and master employer-specific software.
  8. Complex problem-solving skills.
  9. Written and verbal communication skills.
  10. Customer-focused with excellent written and verbal communication and reporting skills.
  11. Demonstrable ability to learn technical information, processes, and applications quickly.
  12. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask and work effectively within a fast-growing organization.
  13. Demonstrated ability to be flexible and take a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Desired Experience And Qualifications

  1. Experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure).
  2. Experience using tools like Postman to create and save simple and complex HTTP/s requests.
  3. Basic knowledge of programming concepts, preferably C#.
  4. Experience in building effective relationships with development teams and clients.
