Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a strategic view of the enterprise risk portfolio, advising senior management on risk exposure and organisational resilience.
- Develop and implement risk policies, frameworks, and methodologies to support the organisation’s risk strategy.
- Provide independent oversight of operational and enterprise risks, ensuring compliance with the three lines of defence model.
- Engage with business units to identify and evaluate key risks, emerging risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Oversee the Enterprise Risk Management System, supporting business users in risk management processes.
- Lead the planning and execution of Risk Week, engaging internal and external stakeholders to promote a strong risk culture.
- Support governance structures, including the Operational Risk and Control Committee, IT Security Committee, and Enterprise Risk Management Committee.
- Provide subject matter expertise on Operational Resilience, Third-Party Risk Management, and Generative AI Governance.
- Deliver risk management training programmes to ensure risk awareness across the organisation.
Experience & Skills Required:
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in a senior risk management role, ideally within financial services.
- Strong track record in developing and implementing risk management frameworks.
- Experience in leading and influencing stakeholders across an organisation to embed risk management best practices.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience coaching and mentoring teams.
- In-depth knowledge of risk management methodologies, tools, and frameworks.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to present complex risk topics to senior leadership.
- Strong analytical skills with a high level of numeracy and proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
