Manager / Senior Consultant (m/f/d) Operations & Settlement

Responsibilities:

  • Advising banks, asset managers, and exchanges on optimizing operations and settlement processes
  • Developing and implementing efficient strategies for trade processing, clearing, and settlement
  • Evaluating and improving post-trade operations, including collateral management, custody and reconciliation workflows
  • Supporting clients in aligning with regulatory frameworks, such as T+1 settlement, MiFID II, CSDR
  • Driving digital transformation initiatives in operations through automation and adoption of emerging technologies
  • Collaborating with clients to design and implement Target Operating Models (TOM) for settlement and operations
  • Analyzing and mitigating operational risks and improving resilience in financial market infrastructures
  • Conducting workshops and training sessions for internal teams and clients on operations and settlement best practices
Your Profile
  • Completed degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field (Master's/MBA or PhD preferred)
  • Several years of professional experience (3-7 years) in financial operations, settlement, collateral management or post-trade services
  • In-depth knowledge of clearing and settlement mechanisms, collateral management, custody services, and financial market infrastructures
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (e.g., T+1 settlement, MiFID II, CSDR, Basel III) and their impact on operations
  • Experience with digital transformation technologies, including automation, AI, and blockchain in settlement processes
  • Proficiency in creating and developing functional and technical architectures for operations
  • Very good command of German and English, both spoken and written
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Capability to lead projects and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • High self-motivation, flexibility, and ability to adapt to complex challenges
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and a proactive approach to improving processes
