About the role

As a member of our Software Engineering Team, we look first and foremost for people who are passionate about solving business problems through innovation and engineering practices.

As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing delightful and highly scalable applications inside a small team. You'll be required to apply your depth of knowledge and expertise to all aspects of the software development life cycle. We embrace a culture of experimentation and constantly strive for improvement and learning.

We're looking for people with a strong background or interest in building successful products; you're comfortable in dealing with lots of moving pieces; you have exquisite attention to detail, and you're comfortable learning new technologies and systems.

Job Description

  • Participate in the development of all aspects of product delivery.
  • Deliver software as per product road maps using TDD/CI/CD methodologies.
  • Design, maintain and code full-stack - backend, frontend & database features and developer-friendly APIs.
  • Identify and resolve issues related to latency, scalability, and performance.
  • Participate in code reviews, sharing your experience and best-practice knowledge with colleagues.
  • Help grow engineering team and product excellence improvements ranging from efficiency and stability improvements to code health and tech stack improvements.
  • Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.

Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Computer Science (or related technical discipline) or equivalent industry experience.
  • Coding experience in at least one OOP language.
  • Disciplined creator of automated tests for your own code; TDD is a plus.
  • Superb troubleshooting skills and tenacity in problem-solving.
  • Ability to debug, optimize code and automate routine tasks.
  • Passion for best quality practice and continuous professional development.
  • DevOps, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) knowledge is a plus.
  • Information Security knowledge.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills in English.
  • Excellent customer-oriented individual.
