Financial Regulation Manager Role Overview

This is a key position within the regulation department, encompassing a diverse array of functions and responsibilities related to regulation.

Main Duties & Key Responsibilities:

  • As Financial Regulation Manager, you will be responsible for managing processes and procedures relating to the Regulation Committee.
  • You will work with a team of professional accountants and regulatory executives, involving communication relating to investigation practices on behalf of the committee.
  • Compiling the agenda for meetings of the committee, attending meetings, and meeting the requirements of committee members before, during, and after the meetings are also integral aspects of this role.
  • You will be assisted by an experienced team of support staff, and you will be responsible for managing that team's workload.
  • The role also includes other miscellaneous activities, such as reporting the activities of the committee on a regular basis and contributing to the annual report and other functions relevant to regulation.

Requirements and Skills:

  • A background in working within a regulatory organisation, ideally in a quasi-judicial environment, would be advantageous.
  • Familiarity with legal regulatory issues is also beneficial.
  • Excellent communication skills, sound judgement, and good interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
