Construction Health and Safety Advisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Health and Safety Advisor to join our client's dynamic team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental practices on major construction projects.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Implement and oversee health, safety, and environmental policies on major construction sites.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant EHS regulations and standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments and site inspections to identify and mitigate hazards.
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs for site personnel.
  • Collaborate with main contractors to ensure a cohesive approach to site safety.
  • Manage and maintain ISO14001 & ISO45001 certifications, ensuring ongoing compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Prepare and present detailed safety reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Lead incident investigations and develop strategies to prevent recurrence.

Requirements:

  • Full Driving License: Must hold a valid, full driving license.
  • Fluent English: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • EHS Qualifications: Must possess the required Environmental, Health, and Safety qualifications for working on major construction sites in Ireland.
  • Experience with Main Contractors: Proven experience working on projects with main contractors in Ireland is essential.
  • ISO Management Experience: Demonstrated experience managing or implementing ISO14001 & ISO45001 standards.
