Support Worker

We are offering an opportunity for Support Workers to join our organisation, working with and supporting individuals in their communities within the Kildare Services.
Successful candidates will join the relief panel to support the daily operation of community houses for adults with an intellectual disability. Responsibilities include assisting people with activities of daily living and engaging in community activities. The position involves working various shift patterns, including sleepover shifts, days, nights, and weekends. This role may suit candidates seeking a flexible roster to accommodate their commitments.

Requirements:- Relevant QQI Level 5 qualification.
- A valid driving licence to operate a manual vehicle in Ireland.
- Experience supporting adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism is highly desirable.
- Excellent organisational, logistical, and IT skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Suitability as outlined in the role introduction.
- Ability to use initiative and plan effectively.
- Knowledge and understanding of HIQA standards and statutory requirements.
- Good connections within the local community are an advantage.
Closing date for applications: Thursday, 15th May 2025.
Note: Successful candidates must be available for day, weekend, waking night shifts, and sleepover/overnight shifts. Willingness to work alone in residents’ homes and across various locations is required.
