Reporting To: Managing Director

Our client is a leading garden design, landscape build, and maintenance company with over 25 years of experience. With projects ranging from bespoke residential gardens to large-scale commercial landscapes, they also operate a high-end 6-acre plant nursery and retail center, specializing in mature trees and perennial plants.

As part of their growth strategy, they seek a dynamic Marketing Executive with a minimum of five years' experience in marketing, ideally within the landscape, horticulture, or related industries.

Role Overview:

The Marketing Executive will be responsible for executing and managing the companys marketing strategy, increasing brand awareness, and driving lead generation across key business areasDesign, Build, Maintenance, and Nursery. This role requires a hands-on, proactive approach to marketing, strong digital expertise, and industry-specific knowledge to engage with our audience effectively.

Key Responsibilities: Marketing Strategy & Campaign Execution
  • Assist in developing and implementing a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Create and manage multi-channel marketing campaigns (social media, email, website, SEO, PPC).
  • Collaborate with sales teams to ensure marketing efforts align with lead generation and sales goals.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging marketing opportunities.
Content & Digital Marketing
  • Develop compelling content, including blog posts, case studies, and social media updates tailored to a landscape/horticulture audience.
  • Manage and optimize the company website for SEO and user experience.
  • Oversee social media accounts, scheduling posts, engaging with audiences, and analyzing performance.
  • Implement and manage email marketing campaigns to nurture leads and retain customers.
Branding & Communications
  • Ensure brand consistency across all marketing materials and customer touchpoints.
  • Work with external agencies (designers, copywriters, photographers) to create high-quality marketing collateral.
  • Develop PR opportunities, including press releases, industry partnerships, and trade shows.
Event & Partnership Marketing
  • Plan and execute promotional events, industry expos, and networking opportunities.
  • Work closely with commercial referral partners (architects, designers, property managers) to strengthen business relationships.
  • Develop promotional materials for retail and nursery sales to drive customer engagement.
Analytics & Reporting
  • Track and measure marketing performance, using Google Analytics, CRM, and social media insights.
  • Prepare regular reports on marketing ROI, customer engagement, and campaign effectiveness.
  • Use data-driven insights to refine and optimize future marketing strategies.
Key Requirements: Experience & Industry Knowledge
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in marketing, preferably within landscaping, horticulture, or garden retail.
  • Proven experience in B2B and B2C marketing, with a strong understanding of the landscape industry.
  • Familiarity with plant nurseries, garden design, and horticultural trends is a plus.
Technical & Digital Skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics, social media management, and CRM systems.
  • Experience using design software (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and email marketing tools (Mailchimp, HubSpot).
