We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Social Care Worker to join our team in Dublin Adult Day Service, currently based in Dun Laoghaire.

Contract Type: This is a permanent contract.

Contract Hours: 39 hours per week.

Salary Scale: €38,107 – €50,953 pro-rata per annum. Salary scales are subject to LSI’s (Long Service Increments).

Annual Leave Entitlement: 31 days per annum.

The successful candidate will have:

  1. Statutory Registration, Professional Qualifications, Experience, etc.
  2. (a) Eligible applicants will be those who, on the closing date for the competition:
    1. Hold professional registration, or be eligible for registration, on the Social Care Workers Register maintained by the Social Care Workers Registration Board at CORU. See list of recognised Social Care qualifications at: CORU Approved Qualifications.
    2. Have a comparable qualification recognised by the Social Care Workers Registration Board at CORU.
    3. OR Applicants who satisfy the conditions set out in Section 91 of the Health and Social Care Professionals Act 2005 must submit proof of application for registration with the Social Care Workers Registration Board at CORU.
    4. The acceptable proof is correspondence from the Social Care Workers Registration Board at CORU confirming their application for registration as a Section 91 applicant was received by 30th November 2025.
    5. OR Provide proof of statutory registration on the Social Care Workers Register maintained by the Social Care Workers Registration Board at CORU before a contract of employment can be issued.
  3. (b) Candidates must possess the requisite knowledge and ability, including a high standard of suitability, for the proper discharge of the role.
  4. 2. Annual Registration
    1. (i) On appointment, practitioners must maintain annual registration on the Social Care Workers Register maintained by the Social Care Workers Registration Board at CORU.
  5. Experience in contributing to the development of personal plans.
  6. Experience and knowledge of the role of a key worker.
  7. Experience of delivering personal care.
  8. Experience of assisting adults with medical needs/ administering medication.
  9. Experience of engaging in professional supervision.
  10. Possess a full, clean driving licence.
  11. Experience of working with adults and families with physical/sensory/intellectual disabilities.
  12. Minimum of 1 year post qualification experience relevant to the role.
