We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager that will be based in our Limerick office to oversee the accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of multi-country clients, primarily UK and Ireland. This role reports directly to Partners and Directors and works closely with accounting, payroll, and corporate secretarial colleagues across the three Amesto Global offices in Ireland, Spain, and the USA. The successful candidate will manage three finance team members.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collect accounting data/information (bank, sales and vendor invoices, payroll etc.) and review for accuracy and completeness before processing in accounting software.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations to agreed delivery date.
  • Prepare and file VAT, VIES, and Annual RTD returns to the Revenue Commissioner / HMRC.
  • Prepare budgets and forecasts and develop relevant KPIs to help clients improve business performance.
  • Assist with the preparation of the annual statutory financial statements.
  • Liaise with the Client’s auditors in relation to year-end audit requirements, where relevant.
  • Complete tax registrations for various tax heads.
  • Liaise with the Client’s tax advisors in relation to annual corporate income tax return as well as the relevant tax authorities.
  • Oversee the sales order processing for a small number of clients (i.e reconcile and manage purchase orders, sales orders, stock levels, and liaise with customers and suppliers).
  • Assist with client payments, including uploading supplier, employee expenses, net wages, pensions, and tax payments.
  • Review team members’ work before transmission to clients for accuracy and be accountable for the quality of work.
  • Foster client relationships and ensure that client requirements and statutory reporting deadlines are met.
  • Develop workable solutions to any client controls and process weaknesses identified.
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CIMA) with 5 years PQE.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of Ireland and UK accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • IT proficiency in accounting software packages such as Xero and Bright Accounts Production and MS office suite (others such as Xledger and NetSuite is an advantage).
  • Proven experience in a similar role managing multi-country clients is an advantage.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational and time-management skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong ability to multi-task, manage competing priorities, work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
