We are looking for a savvy Communications Manager to join our team. They will support the Global Communications Director to strengthen and protect the reputation of the Cardano Foundation with a strong focus on B2B growth and communication strategies and experience in executing impactful product launch communication campaigns. They will help spread a cohesive narrative to our target audiences by building productive relationships with the media, enterprises and other relevant stakeholders in collaboration with our PR agency.

Ideally, you are an organized and grounded communications professional who is able to handle the unanticipated and you have a strong understanding of technical concepts and a passion for communicating innovation. We expect you to have excellent communication skills and an eye for a story. If you are also confident in your critical thinking and problem solving skills, we'd like to meet you.

Your key responsibilities will include:

1. Support the development and execution of the external communication strategy for the Cardano Foundation to align with the organization's overarching strategy.
2. Create and implement comprehensive communication campaigns and product launches, to effectively reach enterprise audiences and promote the adoption of Cardano's blockchain solutions.
3. Act as a key contact and advisor for external PR agencies and together manage an efficient press and media office.
4. Work closely with the Marketing and other teams to identify profile opportunities around marketing activity and ensure key messaging consistency and successful product launches.
5. Work closely with the Event team to make the most out of global events.
6. Prepare written materials as required, including copywriting for articles, internal communications, media statements, social content (blogs), and enterprise information.
7. Briefing spokespeople ahead of media and other speaking engagements.
8. Manage Executive communication strategy and social media profiles as well as content, such as supporting on editing and drafting material for use across X (formerly known as Twitter), LinkedIn, and Reddit.
9. Ensure adherence to media and external communications policies including appropriate training for spokespeople.
10. Identify areas for process improvement and recommend ways to increase functional effectiveness and improve operational efficiencies.

Your story:

A minimum of five years of experience in a corporate communications role or PR agency with a specialism in the technology sector, preferably in a growth and scale-up environment.

Experience in planning and executing communication campaigns for product launches, including developing messaging, creating content, and managing media relations.

Proven experience in developing and executing successful B2B communication strategies.

Masterful command of the English language, with the ability to adapt communication style for a variety of audiences and purposes.

A passion for technology and a strong understanding of emerging trends in the blockchain and Web3 space.

Capable of understanding highly technical concepts with the ability to break these down into concise, easy to understand language and to communicate them to diverse audiences.

Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the technology industry, including media, community members, influencers, and industry partners.

Able to work closely with multiple internal and external partners.

Able to work within a fast-paced, start-up environment, to prioritize and reconcile competing demands and resolve complex issues.

Excellent time management and organization skills with an ability to juggle short term deadlines and deliverables without compromising on accuracy or quality.

Team player, able to work in a collaborative remote culture, with a willingness to get things done and create impact.

Reliability and impressive work ethic.

Able to confidently navigate ambiguity and uncertainty, remaining flexible and adaptable in the face of unexpected challenges.

An undergraduate degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Anthropology, Sociology or other related subjects.
