  • Market insights: Stay up to date on telecom industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes that may impact Twilio's carrier relationships.
  • Problem-solving: Address and resolve any complex technical, operational, or service-related challenges with carriers, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
  • Lead negotiations and pricing models: Work with internal teams to develop optimal pricing strategies for messaging and other telecom-related services, balancing cost, quality, and margin.

Qualifications

Not all applicants will have skills that match a job description exactly. Twilio values diverse experiences in other industries, and we encourage everyone who meets the required qualifications to apply. While having "desired" qualifications make for a strong candidate, we encourage applicants with alternative experiences to also apply. If your career is just starting or hasn't followed a traditional path, don't let that stop you from considering Twilio. We are always looking for people who will bring something new to the table

Required:

  • 12+ years of experience in carrier relations, telecom partnerships, or a similar role in the cloud communications industry.
  • Strong understanding of the telecom ecosystem, including carrier operations, pricing structures, and performance metrics.

  • Ability to assess and interpret performance data, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and legal departments.
  • Familiarity with international telecom regulations, markets, and carrier landscapes.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience
  • Fluent in Spanish
  • Deep experience working with telecom companies, including SMS aggregators, carriers, or global communications platforms
