Key Responsibilities

As an Associate Director, you will:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client relationships, working closely with senior leadership at client organisations.
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of clients across various industries.
  • Oversee accounting services for clients, including:
    • Reviewing monthly and quarterly management accounts.
    • Reviewing unaudited year-end statutory accounts.
    • Advising on financial control systems.
    • Ensuring compliance with company secretarial requirements.
    • Drive the organisation’s accounting technology strategy and manage the rollout of innovative accounting solutions.
    • Monitor and manage team financial performance, including billing, cash collections, and project profitability.
    • Participate in staff coaching, mentoring, and appraisals.

Candidate Requirements

We are looking for a motivated, experienced professional with:

  • ACA or ACCA qualification with at least 7 years of post-qualification experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in practice with strong technical knowledge of financial and management accounts. You need to have extensive accounts preparation experience in practice.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional organisational, time-management, and communication skills.
  • A client-focused, problem-solving attitude with a strong market awareness.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Surf, QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero, along with the ability to adopt AI-based accounting tools.
  • The ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and exercise sound judgment.
