In this role you will be working in a busy workshop with a team of dedicated professionals. You will be responsible for ensuring that customer vehicles are maintained and repaired to a high standard in accordance with Toyota guidelines. As this is a busy dealership, experience is essential, but ongoing training is provided.

We are looking for a well-rounded, flexible individual, who works well as part of a team and is willing to learn the "Toyota Way".

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be fully qualified as a Toyota Motor mechanic.
  • Have 3+ years' experience in all aspects of vehicle servicing and diagnostics.
  • Be capable of producing quality work in a busy fast-paced environment.
  • Be comfortable working in a team environment as well as having the ability to work on their own initiative.
  • Be used to working in an environment where quality, efficiency, and productivity are important.
  • Be diligent, with a flexible approach to work.
  • Possess strong organisational and planning skills.

  • Hold a full, valid, and current drivers' licence.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Through the use of diagnostic equipment and a systematic approach, ensure vehicle faults are diagnosed and rectified.
  • Service & repair vehicles in accordance with manufacturers' guidelines and dealership quality standards.
  • Perform work as outlined on the job card with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and Toyota standards.
  • Complete relevant service documentation (Job sheets, PDI's, service reports) in line with warranty and dealer requirements.
  • Ensure that workshop housekeeping standards are maintained at all times.
  • Examine the vehicle and perform vehicle health checks to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
  • Notify service advisors immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised.
