What is the Role:

The Risk Function is an independent, second line of defence function that monitors, controls, and supports risk-taking activities across AIB.  The purpose of the Risk Function is to provide advice and guidance in relation to risk while providing independent oversight and reporting on AIB's risk profile. The Risk Function's main objective is to ensure AIB has a robust risk management framework and culture in place to ensure risks are taken within the risk appetite set by the Board, in support of AIB's customer franchise and social responsibility. 

Reporting to the Non-Financial Risk Enablement Strategic Operations Manager, the successful candidate will support the administrating and configuration on our Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) platform.

Key accountabilities.

  • Supporting the day-to-day operation of the ArcherIRM (Shield) enterprise GRC solution.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to configure and implement efficient solutions within the platform.
  • Collaborating with IT teams to ensure seamless integration of ArcherIRM with other risk and compliance tools and systems.
  • Continuously optimise platform configurations to ensure that they evolve with changing business needs, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices including regulatory frameworks (e.g. CPC, DORA, Basel).
  • Providing platform users with a high level of application support resolving customer service issues to meet or exceed expectations and SLAs with an emphasis on delivering timely results, effective escalation, and issue resolution.
  • Troubleshooting and resolve system performance issues, functional discrepancies and hygiene issues ensuring the platform operates smoothly and efficiently.
  • Developing and maintain comprehensive documentation for all configurations, workflows, and customisations, ensuring clarity for both technical and non-technical teams.  
  • Mentoring junior team members, providing guidance on best practices, platform configurations and troubleshooting issues for risk and compliance processes.

What you Will Bring.

  1. 5 + years in a risk centric position ideally coupled with technology focus
  2. In depth knowledge and proven experience of the configuration and operational management of a GRC platform.
  3. Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills, with the ability to navigate complex risk scenarios and system requirements.
  4. Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  5. Customer focussed, self-starter with proven experience of agile project management methodologies.
