Counterbalance / Reach Truck Operative

We are seeking an expert Counterbalance and Reach Truck operator to join a successful company specializing in supplying materials nationally. The ideal candidate will operate both Counterbalance and Reach Truck and assist with other warehousing duties as needed. This role offers Monday to Friday daytime hours with no weekend work, providing an opportunity to collaborate with a company that has been in business for over 50 years.

Under the guidance of the Warehouse Manager, your daily responsibilities will include operating the Counterbalance and Reach Truck, ensuring loads are securely handled. As an experienced operative, you will assist in warehouse operations by picking and packing goods using an RF Scanner. Additionally, you are expected to adhere to all relevant guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Unloading materials via the Counterbalance.
  • Operating the Reach Truck to stock material in high-level locations.
  • Safely ensuring products are transported to and from designated areas.
  • Performing daily pre-operation checks on Counterbalance and Reach Truck.
  • Adhering to the company's Health and Safety policies.
  • Ensuring the yard and warehouse are kept to an expected standard of cleanliness.
  • Performing general warehouse duties when required.

Requirements:

  • In-date Counterbalance License (Required).
  • Valid Reach Truck License (Essential).
  • Manual Handling Certificate (Required).
  • Understanding of workplace safety.
  • Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physically fit and able to lift up to 20 Kgs.
  • Experience using an RF Scanner (Desired).
